<p>Abstract:</strong> The study is to analyze the influence of the Job Characteristics and Organizational Culture to the employee Performance in the office of Badan Penanaman Modal (BPM) in the Province of East Java. Job characteristics in this research were measured by the several indicators variables such as skill variations, task identity, task significances, and autonomous work, while the organizational culture was measures by Integrity, management support, and control. The result of this study indicated that there are significant influence between job characteristics and organizational culture both partially and simultaneously to the employees performance in BPM East Java Province. It can be seen to the result of t-test and F-test which found that the value of probability significant has smaller than alpha 0,05. Thereby the two hypothesis mentioned were accepted, and the most dominant influence variable to the employee performance is the task significance.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Abstract: </strong>The survey to analysis whether increasing officers compensation at Kator Pusat Pajak (KPP) Madya Surabaya influence motivation and satisfaction of officer, also have the direct and indirectly influence to officers performance. Data analysis use the Structural Equation Model (SEM) and Partial Least Square (PLS). The result show compensation significantly influences officers motivation and job satisfaction. This research also concludes that increasing compensation strongly and significantly influence (but negative) to officers performance.</p>

<p>Abstract: </strong>This research was conducted in PG. Candi Baru-Sidoarjo and the respondents are production staff as they job are seasonal and expose to higher job accident. The methodology used to analyze the data is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The result of this research shows that the variable of training of activity, work safety, and wages have an effect on to motivation work employees part of production of PG. Candi Baru, Sidoarjo. Hence the suggestion to the company are to have more attention and understand employees ability so the company can design training program which match with the requirement and especially training concerning work safety. Company also has to be more selective and fair in giving wage to employees because they also have an effect on motivation to work and employees loyalty.</p>

<p>Abstract:</strong> The developments of public administration theory and practice have been being influenced by the perspectives of new public management (NPM) and governance. NPM initiated with the transfer of management from private to public sector and transfer of ownership from public to private sector (privatization) takes a risk in which public services will not be provided for the poor and marginalised people. Governance fixes the weaknesses of NPM to be more accountable to the need of the people. Accountability is essential for facilitating transparency and participation in public sector management.</p>

<p>Abstract:</strong> Accounting firms, as information providers, are directly impacted by the manner in which information is managed. Previous researches conducted in Australia, United States, and Japan indicate that information measured by nutrient information and information consciousness constructs has the influence on job satisfaction among accountants in accounting firms. The research investigates the influence of information factors using nutrient information and information consciousness constructs of job satisfaction in accounting firms in Jakarta and Surabaya. The data were collected through questionnaires in which 105 respondents participated. The result of the research, with the consideration over the control variables, shows that nutrient information, information required by auditors, has a significant influence on job satisfaction, but information consciousness fails to do so. The result indicates that accountants need information to increase their expertise via seniors/supervisors feedback and recognition on performance achievement. On the other side, accounting firms seem to have not facilitated their staff yet with the sufficient facilities to access the required information.</p>

<p>Abstract:</strong> There has always been a big challenge facing any product development team: how can they project the success of a new product while they are still at the early stage of product development? In efforts to forecast the success of a new product, a great number of works have been done to forecast the sales of new product at the downstream process, e.g. when a product is completely produced and is ready to launch. However, there are still considerably few works in projecting the success of new product while a product is still at the so-called the fuzzy-front-end stage. In practice, the evaluation process becomes difficult due to an intricate network of factors that determine product success. The objective of this paper is twofold; first is to present the landscape of ambiguity at the conceptual stage and second is to present the analytic network process (ANP) in projecting new product success. Different from the hierarchical model of the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) that does not recognize two-way dependence relationships among variables, the ANP allows dependence and feedback influences so that alternative can depend on the criteria as in a hierarchy but they may also depend on each other, vice versa. A numerical example illustrating the application of the approach is given.</p>

<p>Abstract:</strong> Knowledge Management has recently emerged as a new discipline and is generating considerable interest among academics and managers. The main propose of knowledge management is to help create a Learning Organization, and the Learning Organization is the key to future success for organization. I conceive knowledge management as the process through which organizational knowledge is created from the individual knowledge of the members of the organization. We develop our theoretical arguments by building on the framework of Nahapiet and Ghoshal (1998) whose central thesis is that firm social capital facilitates the conditions for knowledge creation and provides advantage o firms over markets. Social capital mostly comprises knowledge (trust, beliefs, rules, and norms). The capacity to individually and collectively learn (in networks) is therefore arguably the most important form of social capital, even if rarely acknowledged as such in the literature. Social capital can enhance the capacity to take effective action in human social systems. Knowledge management to enhance the human capacity takes effective action by fostering the growth and development of social capital. Knowledge management can be implemented in every organizational discipline, i.e. Human Resource Management. This paper is concerned with the relevance of knowledge management to human resource management within organization. Human resource management is well positioned to ensure the success of knowledge management programs in organization.</p>

<p>Abstract:</strong> This research was aim to find out the influence of the use and belief to new information system technology toward individual performance improvement in a company or organization. The population in this research was all big and middle-sized company in Bandar Lampung. Samples in this research consisted of 79 companies and it was more than the minimum samples requirement. Primary data in this research was gathered through questionnaire covering 30 questions. The hypothesis test showed there was significant influence between new information system technologies (X1) to individual performance (Y). Correlation between them was 0,230. At the same time, belief to new information technology (X2) had significant influence to individual performance (Y) with low correlation rate of 0,284. Together, both variables, new information system technology and belief to new information system technology had significant influence to individual performance with 11,7% contribution.</p>

<p>Abstract:</strong> The purpose of this article is to know the impact of the rises in crude oil price or fuel oil price on the economy, especially on inflation and poverty. Method utilized in this writing is by literature review of some studies or research for the case of Indonesia and some other countries. The rises in crude oil price that then raise the fuel oil price apparently cause the rise in inflation. Occurred inflation is caused by cost-push inflation. The magnitude of the rise in inflation is not so large, if the magnitude of the rise in oil price or fuel oil price is not so large, too. In Indonesia, the average rise in fuel oil price (premium, solar, and kerosene) as 30 % will raise the inflation as 0.5 %  1.5 % in short term. The same phenomena also occurred in some other countries. The rise in crude oil price and fuel oil price also raise the poverty or the number of the poor. The impact of the rise on the economy, especially unemployment and poverty, can be explained with 3 (three) approaches: (1) classic supply shock, (2) real money balance effect, and (3) income transfer effect. In Indonesia, the rise in fuel oil price as 30% is calculated can raise the number of the poor as 2% &#8211; 9%. The percentage magnitude of the rise in the number of the poor also depends on the assumption utilized to estimate and the method utilized in research.</p>

<p>Abstract:</strong> Brand makes it easier for the consumer to make efficient purchase decision. Consumers choose product or brand based on utilitarian and hedonic considerations. The main purpose of this study was to examine the effect of perceived symbolic value and utilitarian value on consumers attitudes toward brand and purchase intentions. The respondents in this study are university students in Jogjakarta. The sampling technique used for this study was purposive sampling. There were only 235 respondents among 400 questioners whom can be used as samples. Validity and reliability testing were conducted in order to figure out the validity rate and data reliability. The data were analyzed by using Regression Analysis. The results provide support for six of the eight hypotheses. The results provide that symbolic value and utilitarian value are two different values but still related. The results show that symbolic value and utilitarian value have a positive impact on consumers attitudes and purchase intentions.</p>
