Abstract: The purpose of this research is to describe the profile of poverty in Lampung Province and the approach for the briefing. The questionnaire for this research passes the validity and reliability test. The sampling technique used is multi stage sampling and purposive random sampling. The result of this research shows a profile on poverty which is the dynamic of people under poverty in managing the potential of economic structure to fulfill their need: very potential to develop, average potential to develop and less potential to develop. For those who are very potential to develop, an indirect comprehensive approach is needed, while for average potential to develop a direct or indirect partial approach is needed and for less potential to develop, a direct comprehensive approach is needed.
