Abstract: This research aims to study the internal and external factors which influencing development pineapple processing industry and formulate the strategy alternative for development pineapple processing industry and also correct development pattern in the exert in strong developing pineapple processing industry, being based on small industry and export oriented. Research done by using survey approach in area which having highest pineapple production and potential for development pineapple industry in Bengkalis district, Bantan and Tebing Tinggi Barat. The data and information acquired by using SWOT analysis. Based on the result of analysis obtained that internal factors influencing development pineapple processing industry are geographical position, vision and development policy, plantation area, generation product and existence of industry. External factors are social culture and economic. SWOT diagram showed the position of industry in quadrant III. Its implication can be formulated by alternative strategy that is development united agribusiness pineapple system, global oriented, empowerment rural economics and base on small industry.
